The Fronius Ohmpilot is a consumption regulator designed to use excess solar power to heat water. Thanks to the continuously adjustable regulation from 0 to 9 kW, surplus PV current can be put to highly efficient use and fed to the consumers in the household. The Fronius Ohmpilot is primarily used to intelligently control heating elements for providing hot water in boilers and buffer storage tanks, but can also be used for infrared heating or towel radiators. Solar power can thus provide a family home with average levels of water consumption with most of their hot water from April to October. The result is maximum self-consumption, a reduction in the household’s CO2 emissions and less wear on the building’s main heating system during the summer months
The overvoltage protection is supplied pre-installed and fully cabled, cannot be ordered separately!
For the Fronius Eco on the other hand, only the single variant is required for the type 2 overvoltage protection. Both measuring channels can also be used with the single variant. As is the case with the Fronius Symo, customers can choose between the single MPPT option and the multi MPPT option for the type 1+2 combi arrester, depending on whether only one or both measuring channels are used. Thanks to the adjustable, integrated remote signalling function, the system operator is notified automatically via the Fronius Solar.web online Portal* whenever the overvoltage protection trips. The plug-in modules allow for fast replacement in the event of a fault. Therefore only the individual module has to be replaced, rather than the entire overvoltage protection. The overvoltage protection is supplied pre-installed and fully cabled**.
